Metal folding chairs are a lot lighter than wooden chairs or indeed chairs that don‘t fold and are therefore practical for all your needs. The material you choose for your group seating chairs will depend on what the intended use is for the chairs as well as your budget. Two of the most common materials that are used for metal chairs are steel and aluminium and there are both advantages and disadvantages of both types.
Consider the texture of the wood. A smooth finish is not only comfortable but aesthetically pleasing as well. Determine ease of use. The chair should easily open and close so you won‘t have trouble putting them up and storing them. Try sitting on the chair. Is the chair comfortable or not? The width of the seat and the height for the backrest should sufficiently offer ample seating comfort. Wooden chairs with cushioned seats are also great most especially if you‘re going to use the chairs for a lengthy game of cards. Determine the purpose for buying the chairs. Will they be placed on the balcony or are you going to use them for parties? You may need a sturdier and heavier chair if you‘re going to use it regularly on the patio. A lightweight version, however, would be fitting if you‘re planning to use the chairs only for special occasions.
If you are hesitant to purchase a chair without arms for the first time rest assured that most chairs allow for the flexibility to remove the armrests at your convenience at a later point in time. Most office chairs purchased through internet dealers are shipped unassembled allowing you to decide if you need the armrests during the process of assembly. If you do choose to install your armrests and find at a later date that you would prefer to sit in an armless office chair, the arms can easily be taken off giving you ultimate flexibility. The only time it is impossible to remove the arms on an office chair is if the arms are part of the chair‘s structure and overall design, which is a rare feature.
